Our Mission


The mission of the VBTP is to support and defend the Constitutions of the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia
​by monitoring and engaging elected and unelected officials at the local, state and national levels.
The VBTP also conducts educational events on certain ballot issues.

Meeting Minutes


Virginia Beach Tea Party 6/12/2025 Masonic Lodge 2849 Princess Anne Road, VB 23456
AGENDA:
1) Call to Order: 7:09 p.m. - Chair Waverly Woods called the meeting to order.
Determination of Quorum: The Chair confirmed that a quorum was present.
2) Invocation: Maureen Fuster
3) Pledge: Teresa Chadwick
4) Chair Comments and Presentation: Original speaker had to reschedule so Waverly, Founder of Virginia Freedom Caucus, gave a presentation on different resources for various organizations and the importance of God in everything. 5) Announcements:
● Teresa Langille made an announcement of appreciation for all the volunteers for the very successful Garden Tea Party.
● Larry Korn made an announcement of appreciation for all the volunteers and gave the financial success of the Garden Tea Party of $3K in revenue. Also, Saturday 6/14/25 from 5-9pm - KHEDIVE Shriners Of Chesapeake Annual Rodeo.
● Kyle Pasquarella made an announcement of candidacy for the house of delegates - 96th district.
● Burk Stringfellow made an announcement of candidacy for U.S. Congress - 2nd district.
● Waverly Woods made an announcement for Pam Burnham’s breakfast every second and fourth Saturday at 8:30am at Moms Kitchen at 3501 Holland Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23452.
● Dianna Howard - Adopt a Spot 6/13/25 @10am
● Laura Hughes: Derek Smith is running for Commonwealth’s Attorney of Norfolk. Also, 2nd Saturday of the month is Norfolk’s GOP breakfast at Mom & Pop’s restaurant. And 3rd Thursday of the month at YNot in Landstown - new dinner “Straight Talk” conservative event.
● Bobby Callis made a motion to allow flexibility in carrying out the agenda order. Motion was seconded and passed.
● Nick Olenik made a motion to invest in a laptop. An amendment was made to take up the proposal in the next board meeting. Amendment was accepted and a motion was passed to table such until the next membership meeting after the board talks about it. 6) Raffle was held.
7) Reports:
  • Treasurer report: Larry Korn: Checking Account $11,971.58; PayPal Account = $455.84. Total = $12,427.42. Teresa Chadwick made the motion to approve the Treasurer’s report. Motion was seconded and passed.
  • Membership report: Teresa Langillie: 6 new members, a couple people renewed. Renewal every July 4th. Some people have expressed interest in joining the Legislative committee. Secretary report: Approval of Minutes: Waverly called for approval of the minutes from the previous meeting, 5/8/2025. Teresa Chadwick made the motion to approve. The motion was seconded and passed                                                                                      
8) Cheryl Preston made the motion to go into executive session. Motion was seconded and passed.
9) Adjourned: Larry Korn made the motion to adjourn. Motion was seconded and passed at 9:23pm
