Don Roby
Treasurer

Don Roby is the treasurer for the Virginia Beach Tea Party. He is a 10-1/2-year Navy veteran, political consultant, campaign manager, business owner, foster parent and foster care taker for dogs.

Don is a big supporter of our constitution and constantly pushing for limited government. He's always keeping a watchful eye on how our local, state and federal governments is spending the taxpayers dollars and if they are reaching beyond their legal framework and not afraid to challenge them when they do.
Don encourages people to become more active in local politics and educational organizations, especially in the Virginia Beach Tea Party and other political organizations. If you don't get involved, you can make a change.

Looking for a place to be heard and actually be able to participate in government? The Tea Party is the place to do that. I know because that's how I got involved in self-government.

As a resident of Virginia Beach for thirty years, I realize the importance of being involved like never before. Being a member of the VBTP has given me the opportunity to personally get to know those that govern us and keep tabs on how are tax dollars are spent and that those that govern us follow our state and federal constitutions. If you would like to be a part of one of the biggest grass root organizations in the country; join us.

Greenmum first came to our city as a member of the US Navy. Since leaving the Navy in 1982, he has been employed as a Business Analyst and technologist for several IT related firms. He was the visionary who lead the team tasked with creating of Auto Trader Online, the world’s largest source of online vehicles for sale at the time. He has decades of experience reviewing the Virginia Beach City Operating Budget and CIP and is a frequent speaker at our city’s City Council, School Board, and regional organizations such as the HRTC, HRTPO, and TDCHR. Reid serves the statewide-TEA Party Federation as a member of the CoLA team. There he reviews all Transportation-related legislation being considered by the Virginia General Assembly and lobbies for, or against, Transportation bills. Reid serves a Heritage Action For America Sentinel. There is monitors and lobbies for, or against, Federal legislation. In 2016 Reid lead the Virginia Beach TEA Party effort to design and build the “Please Vote No Light Rail” sand sculpture that was vandalized by an Officer of the Virginia Beach Neptune Festival. This sand sculpture contributed to the defeat of the Light Rail referendum A true ‘David and Goliath’ grassroots victory that saved Beach taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars.

I have spent most of my life volunteering in one capacity or another; whether as a room mom, hospitality hostess, poll worker, etc.  Once I retired, I knew volunteerism was my calling.  I knew I wanted to make a difference in my city and my country.   I contacted the membership chair for the Virginia Beach Tea Party and she was so helpful and made it easy for me to share my skills and life experiences with the Tea Party.  With my love for God, my family and friends and for my country, I found my place with the VB Tea Party.  Being involved with this large group of like-minded individuals has been a blessing.
